How can I forget you, and you are the one that taught me how to love the Lebanese Army and implant it in my blood. How can I forget the days of my childhood spent with you each weekend and horse-riding and try running with you which I was always left behind.

How can I forget the positions that you use to teach me in Tetas house (inbitah) and how to be ready for fire position. I will never forget you. I do really miss you a lot and always thinking of you. I wish at those days we were able to do anything to keep you or to save you, because we all lost the great leader in you thru everything.

This website brought a lot of memories and remembered me the day we lost you and after that when you were in Tetas house at the same place that you use to teach me stuff and could never forget these moments and until present still feel you around thru all these years and been far away from Lebanon. May God Rest Your Soul always and we will remember you each time of our lives.

We love you dear Khalil forever. Thanks for this great website that we will always feel you dear Khalil as we listen to your voice and things that you did live thru.

God knows how many times i wanted to make you a tribute worth of you and could not find the words to express myself. To many you were The General, to me you are Khalil Kanaan. You have been a second father to me; a second father that chose me; and Mona is and will always be my second mother.

I lost you while i was quite young but still keep indelible memories of you and the time spent with you: Your self assurance; your strength that gave courage to the people by your side; your smile; the joy you spread; your courage; your integrity.... You were a great man that inspired many of us.

Cowardly assassinated while you were in bed by those who could not face you standing up. Your loss marked us forever khalil.

I cannot help myself but think of what would have been our lives had you been here now. Wish we could have you back. I miss you

I knew him: A truly remarkable man. A perfect leader, both firm and caring. An example to remember and follow for all those who had the good fortune to know him. Cowardly murdering such a noble soul is an unforgivable sin. Such evil spirits have no place in society.
